Terms of service

The terms that govern your use of Klef. Last updated June 2026.

Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using Klef, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use Klef on behalf of an organization, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm that you are authorized to do so.

The service

Klef is a platform that keeps worker records and access in sync between your HR system of record and the other tools your organization runs on. We provide the service on a subscription basis and may improve or change its features over time.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accounts and credentials used to access Klef, for keeping them secure, and for activity that happens under them. Let us know promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

Connected systems

Klef works by connecting to the third-party systems you authorize, such as your HRIS, directory, and downstream applications. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions to connect those systems, and your use of each remains subject to its own terms.

Your data

As between you and Klef, you own the data you connect, import, or generate through the service (“Customer Data”). You grant us the rights needed to process Customer Data to operate and provide the service. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Klef. Do not use it to break the law, infringe the rights of others, compromise security, interfere with the service, or attempt to access data or systems you are not authorized to reach.

Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed according to the pricing in effect when you subscribe, including any per-worker charges. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with notice, and any change takes effect at your next renewal.

Intellectual property

Klef and its software, design, and content are owned by Klef, Inc. and its licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership in the service to you, and you keep all rights in your Customer Data.

Service availability

We work to keep Klef available, reliable, and secure, but the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and each party's total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Klef and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or where necessary for security or legal reasons. After termination you can export your Customer Data for a reasonable period, after which we may delete it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will provide notice, and continuing to use Klef after the changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
