Unused licenses cost departments millions every year. Some were assigned and never needed, others were never removed after a role change, and some were never even requested. Assigning and removing licenses manually is likely to result in disaster.

Klef assigns licenses based on who the worker is and where they are in their lifecycle. A policy defines which licenses each worker should have. For example, a policy can give a Microsoft 365 E5 license only to active workers in IT.

When a worker's job or status changes, for example when they move to Sales or leave the company, Klef recalculates which licenses they should have. Syncs run every 15 minutes, so licenses and accounts they no longer need are removed shortly after HR makes the change.
